Avengers of the Week | Change is on the Horizon

This week, we are highlighting some tweets that are not afraid to call for accountability for white-cis-male conference panels. Our Avengers are also calling on individual men and women to do better when representing and listening to women’s voices. 

Special shout-out to @friasmp for pointing out that featuring “all women” shouldn’t mean centering only white women in our conversations!

However, change is possible!

@MollyCain points out how manels don’t change overnight, rather it takes time in order to be solidified as a norm. Yet this change is already happening. @BarbaraFantechi pointed out a math conference with equal numbers of men and women speaking AND attending.
