Avenger of the Week | Regina King

If you’re a fan of pop culture or entertainment awards shows, you likely saw or heard about Golden Globe winner Regina King’s acceptance speech. In it, she made the bold promise that within the next two years every project she produces will feature at least 50% women. She even challenged others, not only in the entertainment industry but in all industries, to do the same. Clearly her call to action was heard, because, in an interview the following day, King stated that several colleagues had already reached out to pledge their support and participation.

Regina King accepts the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture at the 76th Annual Golden Globe Awards.
